The Gundlach TORCH Program is a registered apprenticeship recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, offering 2 apprenticeship positions: Precision Machining Technology (PMT) and Welding. The program combines classroom instruction with structured on-the-job learning (OJL) to support applied learning in real manufacturing environments.
Built on Gundlach Tools’ long history of quality craftsmanship and industry experience, this one- to three-year paid apprenticeship allows participants to earn progressive wages while working toward a portable, nationally recognized credential, academic credit toward a college degree and a stronger path from school to career.

The TORCH Apprenticeship Program is a paid apprenticeship that allows participants to earn progressive wages as their skills develop while working and learning at the same time.
Supplemental classroom education is an important part of the program and may be supported through local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grants, which can help cover tuition, books, fees and support services. Apprentices may also earn academic credit toward a college degree while avoiding student debt.
