These tools are exceptionally lightweight and will not warp or rot like wood will. They have 7/8" x 4-1/8" rectangular construction to maintain their original straightness. The ends of each straight edge are plugged with a plastic insert to prevent mortar from weighing down the tool. Often used as a mortar screed.
